However, Norwich grew into the game and Emi Buendía was denied by Michel Vorm before Lukas Rupp made the Dutch keeper spill a strike from distance - a precursor for what was to come. And unless there's absolutely no breeze (or the prevailing wind is from the opposite direction to the usual Westerly), expect to get wet if it rains - even if you're at the rear. Park Lane approaches the stadium from the east, Church Road from the West, and the Tottenham High Road from the north and south.Public transport is generally considered the best way to reach the stadium on a matchday as there is a lack of nearby parking options. My advice, stay in the bars in the stadium for a few drinks after and let the crowds drift away. This was a big mistake. We passed the Bill Nicholson pub where there were a few skirmishes. The stewards were absolutely fine. I travelled from the Midlands so knew the train would be busy with away fans. They had the rail seats in part of this end, and most of their fans stood at this end too.Before the game was an 'Opening Ceremony' and this was very short, as it had to be squeezed in between the players ending their warm-ups, and the teams coming out, so it was just a couple of singers singing 'Glory, Glory, Tottenham Hotspur', some flag-waving, and a few fireworks. There are no stadium car parks that fans can use.There is also a controlled residents’ parking zone around the stadium area, so if you're driving please take care to ensure you are not parked in an area where a permit is required.Built on the site of their 118-year White Hart Lane home, Tottenham Hotspur Stadium was opened during the 2018/19 season.The first match to be played at the newly-opened Tottenham Hotspur Stadium will be Spurs' Premier League fixture versus Crystal Palace.

I arrived there at 11.50, as the game went to penalties.The stadium is quite outstanding, with no real drawbacks. With the game going to penalties, we didn't get back to Norwich until 2 am but it was worth it.A very memorable day out with a superb finale. I was not too concerned about which game it was for, as long as it was a competitive game. 6pm, I was charging my phone with a £5 pie and a pint deal.

Thankfully shaded from the sun. I was in sat down at the back of the block and the standing rails did not interfere with the view.The ground inside is incredible - like a 'World Cup' quality ground. What atmosphere. Asked 6 stewards the way to get there. Shame.Easy.
