Later, when Jellybean sees FP for the first time, things are pretty awkward.

FP and Jellybean leave Jughead and Betty alone so they can say goodbye, suggesting the two of them go look for the vending machine to buy her some Triple Bubble. The phone rings. Jughead returns home, where he finds a videotape on his doorstep. The phone rings, and Betty’s answers. Betty then revealed to Jellybean the entire truth behind Jughead’s disappearance. She starts to cry and falls into her mother’s arms. He reveals that the Jellybean and Jughead are surprised by the GargoylesAs Jughead and Jellybean watch a horror film, several Gargoyles barge into the trailer. And why shouldn't she? Inside, Jughead and Betty watches the tape along with Alice, FP, and Jellybean. Gladys and Jellybean originally went to Toledo after FP fell into a fit of alcoholism when Fred Andrews let him go years before. Betty then leaves, explaining that she has one last T to cross.All across Riverdale, the townsfolk recover the videotapes placed at their doorsteps, including the Cooper-Jones. Betty answers to find two trick-or-treaters. Still, Jellybean has never lived anywhere without her.

Jughead then returns home to find Jellybean unharmed.
Jellybean and Gladys hangout at the trailer, and as it seems, they are there for much more nefarious reasons than they’ve lead on. Jellybean asks when Jughead will arrive, but Betty isn’t sure. Much to Jellybean's dismay, her mother is leaving town without her, as Jellybean will be staying in Riverdale with her dad and brother. At the Jones-Cooper house, Betty, Jughead, Charles, Jellybean, FP, and Alice watch her news report. She heard Betty whispering on the phone to Charles the night before. Jellybean more or less fades into the background for a few episodes, and that's when we get to episode 18. This is the third round of videotapes to surface throughout town.
