Samsung blu ray players also support DTS? I have just bought a Samsung nu8000 and I stream some movies etc from an external drive, the video plays but sound files are not supported. If you want 5.1 passthrough, be sure to get a TV that supports the feature for the signal type you use, and then make sure your TV’s settings are such that they will allow the process to happen. I want to know if i get soundbar with DTS, will the DTS audio be played properly in same movie I've even restored the avr to factory settings and started again. This delivery method makes for a smaller signal size, and so it is easier to send multiple channels of audio.
IT's a shame because I know the KS did support DTS and would play just about any format you sent it.
I understand that Samsung no longer support dts sound files but does anyone know how to get round this problem.
Also, the new xbox will do the same and if you have Netflix it will send Atmos 4k HDR to your receiver as well.It would be nice if Samsung could give an honest explanation of why the Qled doesn't support dts?I've uploaded my films onto a qnap Nas. With 5.1 passthrough, instead of needing to connect a separate wire from each source to the AV receiver for the audio signal to make it to the receiver, a single audio connection is established between the TV and the receiver. I believe this is a recent change.
